A very long day, but the scenery repays it. From Cairo you drive about four and a half hours west to Bahariya Oasis, with its palm groves and hot springs. A Bedouin guide then takes you through the volcanic hills of the Black Desert and past Crystal Mountain to the chalk formations of the White Desert. Snacks, lunch and dinner are included.
